ENGLISH CAPTION HERE ------ 00:50 Do you know the country Korea?
00:16 Just 50 years ago
00:25 They had nothing in their hands
00:33 Korean War was too severe
00:39 for those who just escape from the colonization by Japan
00:54 Nobody mentioned
01:06 any word of the hope like future or even tomorrow
01:14 For them, tomorrow was
01:27 just another name of today which they cannot assure their survival
01:40 Little praying for their survival was the only thing allowed to them
01:49 There were no poorer countries than this country
02:02 The sense of dream for them
02:07 was that they just spend a day without starving
02:17 and they just want their sons and daughter to avoid this poverty
02:24 It was obvious for them that the life was too severe
02:31 and it might never astonish us even if
02:39 they just sob and give up
02:46 Nonetheless
02:55 they did never attemp to run away as well as give up their presence
03:14 Though they couldn't ensure better tomorrow,
03:22 they just wish the tomorrow of their sons and daughters
03:30 Officially enrolled countries in UN were around 120 at that moment
03:36 and the GNP(GNI) of the Republic of Korea
03:43 was only 76 USD in comparison with 220 USD of Thailand and 170 USD of Philippines
03:51 the second poorest country in the world was Korea
04:00 In 1962, Korea succeeded in borrowing loan as much as 140 million DMK from West Germany, similarily divided country, against the interruption of the US
04:08 On contion of sending nurses and miners whom West germany required and setting their salary as a mortgage
04:18 Before Germany admitted the ability of young korean nurses, what they firstly did was to clean dead bodies with a gauze with alcohol
04:30 Miners worked extremely hard as they endured serious heats of the earth in the mine caves under a thousand meter deep
04:40 President of West Germany was moved by korean workers, how hard they work and he invited President of Korea to Germany. Many korean workers got together to see their president.
04:48 They began singing their national anthem prior to the presidential speech However, they couldn't finish singing because they couldn't stop whimpering. Korean president put his prepared speech into his pocket and said the same sentence repeatedly.
05:00 Let's work harder and harder. Let's work much harder not to make our sons and daughters sold to foreign countries.
05:07 Miners appeal to German president in vain for help. "Please help our counry, please help our president. We can do anything"
05:17 Korean president ceaselessly sobbed in the car going back to the accomodation as letting crying miners and nurses
05:26 German president gave him a handkerchief to soothe him and promised We help you, our people help your country
05:35 Modernization of Korea was
05:45 initiated by the sacrifice and tears of these nurses and miners
05:52 Sending troops to Vietnam war was being the catalyst to accelerate economic development
06:00 Expressways could be constructed with the help of sent soldiers' combat allowance
06:07 and there were being the artery of our country
06:14 Construction workers dispatched to desserts in middle east made extensive efforts to earn more dollors in every day and night.
06:22 Young girls worked hard in wag, sewing, fabric and shoe factories producing exports while they eat only instant ramen in a bid to supplement their younger' tuition.
06:33 and we eventually achived democracy
06:50 Year 1950 and 50 years later, My country, Korea has
06:56 World's 3rd largest Constuction Industry
07:01 World's 5th highest rate of Nuclear energy power plant use
07:04 World's 5th Steelproduct Industry
07:12 World's 1st Shipbuilding Industry
07:18 World's 12th largest export and import business
World's 4th most foreign currency holder
07:25 World's 1st spread rate of personal computers
World's 1st spread rate of broadband communication infrastructure
World's 1st IT infrastructure of Schools and
World's 1st rate of Digital opportunities
07:33 Do you believe the existence of Miracles?
07:37 I would love to tell you it is the miracle
07:44 Someone often ask
07:49 why koreans are so proud of their unity nation and place hugh importance on the patriotism.
08:00 Rather, I want to ask them
08:05 how you are not proud of this country
08:12 Just overcoming the poverty can't be the answer
08:20 In Korea and our hearts, there has been 'noble spirit' representing our hopes which the painful history along our blood vessels never happens again to others
08:28 Our today can exist on the basis of such noble spirit in Korea
08:38 Now, we promise that we will hand over a good country to our sons and daughters
08:46 we will give you the country worthy to be proud of as well
09:00 I Love My country, Korea

  • The nature did for us. The nature brought boons to humanity; the airplane was invented with watching birds flying in air. The color TV was invented with the idea of human see flowers and colors in nature. The nature also repaired damages have been made to the souls of millions of people who suffered under the tyranny of imperial japPOongese watching their descendants swept away in the ocean water seeping in.

  • When people say that as results of japPooog did so many bad things, the islands will be sunken under the sea, I thought that the idea was preposterous and brushed off because I had never witnessed the force of Tunami in my life. The 3/11 is quaintassential event that obliterate the notion of impossible and made it into existence.

  • It's unfortunate that so many people and houses were swapped away as a result of 3/11 Tunami. idot#1 has been lucky,NoNoShit was in Taiwan; some people fled to Korea.

  • @nagocity1 Another holiday is coming up in the miserable country, japPpoong. You know what that is? Are japPooonese going to take a day off on 3/11? There has been lots of debate whether is is karma or not, but let me put it it simple term. Kama is when bad thing happens to bad people, and "misfortune" is when bad thing hapens to good people. In case of 3/11, it is former, NOT latter, so it it naturally called "Karma." O.K.? happy 3/11 anniversary! 12/29 is named as "bubble day."Let me see 3/11

  • @britney4korea Toyota and Sony, the two symbols of japPooong's economy have been tarnished. I have not seen Sony commercials at all recently. I am planning on buy Kia for my next car. Koreans cars have achieved its reputation and more and more people are buying Korean cars because they have sleek design equipped with modern features. Green cars have long way to go; we still need to focus on combustion engines.

  • @ZarathuPower Toyota dropped to number 4. Korean automakers must make electric and green technology automobiles. But still, too many koreans like lexus, infiniti and acura.

  • @ZarathuPower

hey son of refugee hahhahahhahhahah all japanese never thought that we would receive the word of pity "sad" from "miserable race korean especially son of refuggee.

or does it seem that rotten "son of koreans" is trying to insult us with wrong word.

hahahhahhahahhahah know your place , son of refugee.

i think that koreans are most miserable race refering the history. hahhahhahahah

  • The japppoong is in SAD state. That thought they were going strong with all the bubbles getting bigger and BIGGER until it popped; it was a sobering lesson for them with people getting laid-off pitching tents in the parks around the cities. The earthquake in last year really put the damper on the last hope of rsuccitating from the series of failed economic reforms crippling any hope for improvements. japPPoong is doomed.

  • @ZarathuPower

hahhahahahhahhah hey you monkey living in the rotten "third class country korea" . people in the world never regard korean as equal human.especially advacned countries including japan recognize koreans to be rotten monkey who earn the money by imitating our culture and products.

hey monkey , bend your rotten knee to me as you father did.

    ahahhahahahhahahhahha

  • The japoong is in SAD state. Yes, the country is so SAD. jaPooonese were demonstrating agaist plathora of Korea drama shown on TV in the midst of nuclear crisis and economic problems; the country don't simply know what the priorities are; the country acted like a monkey holding two bananas and having tough time which one to eat first. The monkey got mad because an extra banana holding.
