If you're expecting to see a lineup of decrepit old trolleys creeping along rusty rails, have I got news for you! Gem-like restorations that look as though they're fresh from the factory. Sparkling multiple-unit trains of interurban and rapid transit cars speeding along the mainline. The motor hum of powerful electric locomotives hauling freight trains. IRM's annual Independence Day event just keeps getting bigger and better every year!
Great video thanks for sharing. Have a friend in Illinois - would be so good to come and visit. UK museums are so limited in track lengths makes a change to see even a little speed.

Truly amazing! Really loved the footage. I was amazed at the length of some of the Interurbans as you forget over time! The IRM would be a nice place to visit. I've seen footage of the OERM many years ago and I think the IRM has a slight edge.

Amazing! as a long time member of Orange Empire, I take off my hat to IRM. That is one splendid demonstration of electric railway preservation.
