@sivssy There were failed assassination attempts on Hitler. BUT, the social resistance was so isolated and unorganised, so it really posed minimal threat to Nazism in Germany. But other parts of Europe under Nazi controlled had more organised and intricate groups that were resisting the Nazis, like the French Resistance, Italian Resistance and Polish underground State and yea.... :P

@sivssy Well, kinda. First they got the Communist Party (KPD) banned after the Reichstag fire. But after that, the enabling act ended the Weimar Constitution, so politically, the Reichstag (parliament) had no power, therefore the system of democratic opposition was ended. But opposition was not exactly eliminated. It is very hard to eliminate resistance. There were social groups who opposed Nazis in Germany. Like the catholic church and communist groups.
