Not Afraid to Fly - fm Hotpants the Musical by Dick Lee

Sharon, Daphne and Penny get together one day after school, still in their IJ pinafores, and chat about their dreams... Sharon wants to be a famous singer, Daphne wants a luxurious life and Penny just wants to be a teacher, like her mom!

Hotpants, the musical was staged in 1997 at the now extinct World Trade Centre Auditorium, Singapore. Written and directed by Dick Lee, this hilarious comedy revolved around 3 mothers and their daughters. It was set in the 1970's, when skirts (and pants) were getting shorter, and long hair on males was banned! The wonderful music deserves a little revival, since it seems like it's been buried in time. The amazing cast included Jacintha Abishegenaden, Tan Kheng Hua, Deborah Png, Tanya Chua, Emma Yong, Rosmeera Seet, Steven Lim, Caleb Goh, KUMAR & John Lee.
