"When Current 93 met Zdzisław Beksiński" could be an alternative title for this video,which I especially made for my SIN 's Inmost Light.
Zdzisław Beksiński (1929-2005) is a well-known Polish painter, photographer and sculptor,best known as a Fantasy Artist.His work,expressed in a rather "gothic" way, is seperated in two periods,the fantastic realism (during which he created strange images, showing a surrealistic, post-apocalyptic environment with scenes of death, decay and deserted places filled with skeletons) and the abstract one.He used to claim that he wished to "paint in such a manner as if I were photographing dreams".Beksiński was murdered in 2005.He was 76 years old.
