This is a great method if you have a few to do. No detergent is required unless their greasy.

Honestly I would not do this. Simply get a brand new bucket or garbage can. Fill it with water and dishsoap. Or use a mild degreaser. Soak it for 10 mins. Rinse it with the hose. Dry in the sun! It works!
