LUIS GUALTIERI / ON THE TRAIL OF LE CORBUSIER (CHANDIGARH)

I visit Chandigarh to see the houses and the principal emblematic buildings. I was very surprised to see that the they form part of the identity of the people, I am very proud about the way an architect can influence in the life of other people, modifying it for the better, I also feel good about undertaking an investigation that spreads everything in reference to the city, because there is not a much information about the buildings constructed here, only the important ones have been published and the others have been left aside, there is a divorce between the F.L.C and Chandigarh.

Hola!!! gracias por tus palabras (muy reconfortantes). Ultimamente me han pedido que suba más información de Chandigarh, así que estoy preparando un video (o varios) con más vistas de la ciudad. Yo simplemente espero que estos videos sirvan de guía para aquellos que quieren conocer las obras de L-C, tengo esperanza de que dentro de tres años su obra sea declarada como patrimonio de la humanidad y elaboren un buen documental con todos los recursos ;o) Muchísimos saludos!

Excellent Video. Love Le Corbusier- Shame they never got around to building the Governor´s palace. I was there and it seemed like a airport runway (minus the planes, of course.

My husband is working in Chandigarh at the moment on the military base, he has been there for over three months & has fell in love with Chandigarh and its beautiful people with the open hand of friendship...hope one day we can both come back for a visit from our home in England...you are good people and deserve every blessing & success.

Architecture was so much simpler back then, only worry about compression of concrete, and if the structure will hold the weight, but today you have to worry about so much more, how to make the skin of the structure more environmentally efficient and stuff...
