I always enjoy all your videos. Rounder is a star! As are you, of course. The big question: Why Burger King? Could he do it as well with a Big Mac? Hee hee hee. I'm kidding. Don't want special sauce dripping onto his paws.

@rogersmmr -Mine, too!

Thanks for this video-and the others; you and your dogs are great examples of how powerful clicker training and positive reinforcement are..and how great it feels to have a dog who is delighted to work with you. Great job!!

@darkcyeote Thank you for watching and for your comments. Rounder & I are more partners than I am the boss of him. I consider him the teacher and me the student. He teaches me how he learns best. :-)

did you do that by teaching "hold it" with a toy or something and gradually moving up to tastier items? Nice job, this is something I'd like to teach my boys.

@burninforyou Exactly! First he learned how to hold non-food items. When he could do that reliably, I started having him hold boring food items. I'd have him hold a big, thick, crunchy biscuit for just a second. His reinforcer would be a much higher value food reward (like beef or chicken). Once they understand the concept, you can gradually increase the value of the food you ask them to hold. Good luck and have fun. You can post your vid as a video response. Thank you for watching. :-)
