@kengere there are three main factors that will determine the answer to your question "Hi which nas can i use to record 12 to 16 cameras 24/7" - image quality, image resolution, frame rate. You may like to post your question to the MOBOTIX community at "mxinstaller (dot) com" in our user forum. I'm sure you will get your answer.

That is a cracking video. Clean, simple and easy to watch. Good work!
If you were recording from multiple cams would you create a share for each one? How would you handle multi inputs?
Also, why NFS? I could see CIFS etc as options on the Mobotix menu. Is there a reason for using NFS?

@peterairs CIFS is certainly an option that would work. We selected NFS in this tutorial as NFS is the most commonly used method of sharing access between UNIX/Linux systems. NFS is a native Unix protocol and both cameras and the ReadyNAS are based on Unix/Linux.
Just one share is required to handle multiple simultaneous camera recordings.
