On Nov 13, 2011, I performed the Fokker Organ at the Muziekgebouw Aan t'Ij in Amsterdam, from my home in Daylesford, Vic. Australia. I did this via Midi and the Internet, with a Skype linkup that enabled me to hear and see the organ. The Fokker Organ is a rather remarkable instrument built in 1950 by Adriaan Fokker (more info: www.huygens-fokker.org - look under "instruments") and it's now controllable by Midi. Ere Lievonen controlled the registration, and I played the computer program (written in ArtWonk) that controlled the organ. This is most of the third movement of "Three Movements for Fokker Organ (2011)". In this movement, I use a number of chords in 31 tone tuning (these chords are called Euler-Fokker genera) and control their speed, rhythm, texture, etcetera, while listening half a planet away with a 1 second delay. It's a challenging way to perform, but a lot of fun.
