  • I get so sentimental when I hear the good old Christmas tunes played or sung in this way and with these delicious jazz chords .. Happy Christmas to you!

  • @filistro Thank you.

  • I have been stuck with soloing, but this video was ground braking for me. I see the 2-5-1 chord pregresions and the minor and major 6. playing arpeggioes over the chords being played and then notes from the scale in the middle. amazing vid, and tutorial for me. this vid overall if you watch closely can help a musician a whole lot if your like stuck on playing simple blues scale solo's.

  • @TheMusicianHelper I greatly appreciate your comment, thanks.

  • Thanks to your videos. You're an A+ player especially in improvising. I learn a lot by just listening to you. Looking forward for more vids

  • very nice good job

  • Hehe, thanks Joe! Yeah, it is fun trying all different styles - including "Joe Holt" style. ;-)

  • Oh my - how'd I miss this one?!

Looks like you're getting a LOT more comfortable with the solo thing! Walking - striding (!) - LH tenths! Roger who? :) It's great how your videos seem to push things in all directions - including mine! :)

(now I need to record Giant Steps, or something) :)

    Way cool Roger!
