I decided to keep stock 2" piping and go for flow 40 delta's with turndowns. has a nice deep rumble and a little burble after you rev it up. Not too much resonating either.

Which Pipe is deeper sounding on a P71 stock H or X Crossover
SuperMan88Strong 1 year ago
@SuperMan88Strong I'm not certain. Also I don't have a P71 so I'm probably not equipped to answer that question. My guess however is that anything you do with an X-Pipe is going to sound deeper and more aggressive by default since it's unlikely you'll be reusing the ultra-quiet stock mufflers.

Hey man, nice car and great sound! I had a question though if you could. I'm going to be getting duals on my 2000 Grand Marquis LS and was wondering, would you recommend 2.25' piping? Any noticeable power increases? 2.25' is what I was leaning towards but I'd just like to get a second opinion. Thanks!

@AdmiralAckbarFTW Thanks for the positive feedback. I don't believe 2.25" piping will add any additional power. The flow rates through the exhaust won't change much, and the dual exhaust itself won't inhibit airflow even at 2". Your major problem is increasing airflow before and just after combustion-- high-flow cats, long-tube headers, high-flow cylinder heads... That sort of thing.

Awesome! Just make sure to get an H-pipe, it deepens the sound and takes the tinny-sounding 'popopop' away.
