  • 600grit for wetsanding between coats. 1000grit for wetsanding between last coats. Gotta be silky smooth. Too much orange peel on the first coats wont come off in the later coats. If you left orange peel on the 1st coat and are at the 4th coat without wetsanding then your going to have serious orange peel problems aka rough dotty skin. You would have to sand down to the first coat practically to fix the problem. Best to start off right.

  • Best i could find in the store was 220 grit on orbital. 300-400 would have been alright though. With 220 you can't really stay in one spot that long without going through the primer so 300 and higher would be recommended if you want to save your primer. I had the sand paper block but i felt i couldn't feel the surface enough so i used my hand and kept it flat. Covered more surface area. Watch it with the bondo as the surface can become ripply if you stay on one spot too long with the orbital.
