Sarah Shourd is a liar. Firstly; how did they get into Iraq? Iraq does not issue tourist visa for the Americans because they may get killed on the street by people. The Kurdistan of Iraq is not a country and does not have embassies to issue visa and is actually a war zone being bombarded by Turkey and Iran on the daily bases. Would you go hiking in war-zone?

Someone needs to ask the OBVIOUS question: Why would you be out on a leisurely stroll on the Iraq/Iran border? Can they be more naive?? Why don't they go play hopscotch in a minefield - it would be SAFER. These peace activists must get through their heads that there are many sadistic, selfish, greedy, people out their that will NEVER embrace peace the way the activists envision it in their imaginary, utopian and naive little world.

Of course, look imagine this was some Arab or random guy doing this in USA they would just say he/she is a terrorist and put them in guantanamo bay and torture them, The policy even says the person can't contact or even have a lawyer. Then again Iran did proper Justice and even released the female which is a good thing. US just fuck around again and again, they want another war I think after Syria/Libya....

Shane and Josh are true humanitarians. It is ironic that the Iranian judiciary might be using them as political pawns when anyone who is familiar with their personal history would know they are anti-war, anti-imperialist. I graduated from the same high school and was a member of an anti-war group in Sacramento, CA in 1991 during the Persian Gulf War, Shon Meckfessel, who was also visiting them in Iraq around the time of their abduction. I travelled with Kathy Kelly to Iraq, skeptics trust this.
