One of the Publix. No. 1 type WurliTzer organs actually made it here to England in 1930. Originally in the Manchester Paramount cinema it is now beautifully restored and in a good home in the ballroom of the Stockport Town Hall. You can find out more about it on the Stockport Town Hall website.

I have to agree with bartonbuster, John is truly "gifted" - Long may he continue to give so much pleasure through his music, and long may we be able to view these wonderful clips.

John knows his stuff.....the organ reminds me of the organs made for the Publix chain of theaters which the Florida theater, Jacksonville, Fla. was one. The Wurlitzer (Publix) organs have a terrific sound and Mr. Bowdler knows how to bring it out.
