Indestructible 30 foot monolithic concrete and steel dome being sprayed with 3 inches of 3lb closed cell foam.
Next is cosmetics and solar pre heat water to conventional water heater.
My belief is that monolithic concrete construction is the possible answer to the disaster in Haiti and storm prone areas. If your house will not blow down then your homeowners insurance should be less!
DRD Enterprises Inc of Davie will make every effort to contact some agency to volunteer the education and material to construct a monolithic concrete dome, need safe transport for men and equipment from Miami.

A monolithic concrete dome is indestructible and can be off the grid

  • My only problem with this is that it looks like a Tornado etc. could lift the thing right off the ground the way it's small and stuck up out of the ground. In my view, you should build the thing half in the ground, and more angled.

  • @leeuniverse If you think a tornado will lift this structure you need to read up on monolithic concrete construction. This dome along with the concrete foundation would have to lifted in one piece!

  • Where is all of this talk about toxic materials coming from? What exactly do you folks consider toxic? The microsecond it takes to mix 2 products at the nozzle does not affect the environment and if so very minimal compared to the environmental savings for the end goal of saving energy and reducing the need for fossil fuel. If you make a statement if would be nice to have some docs to back that statement. We could all live much better lives if we were not so resistant to change

  • So as to seal waterproof and insulate FOAM is the way to go. This structure would not be the design for Haiti only the concept DUDE

By the way if your home is not tornado proof it is not Hurricane proof

Homes could be built in Haiti to house a family of 5 for as little as $3000.

  • I'm out in Canada and I would love to receive more knowledge in Agriculture Architectural Sciences. Can anybody give me any referral for a training program or something of that sort?

  • @buck3647 its not about the2min mix is about ppl living in it Concrete everywhere is your ideal for housing+cities?

  • Great! All we need now is a Hurricane to test this shit!

  • i dont think itll last or be durable enough for the weather

  • @ASonOfMan The design itself is worth investigating. I'm no pro at this sort of building, but I would be interested to see how this design would work using a hemp-lime based product instead of concrete for the form. That should make it stronger than concrete, increase the R-value, greatly reduce the environmental impact and eliminate the off-gasing. The sprayed styrofoam could be skipped altogether and just be finished with the standard stucco finish or experiment with other finishes like sod.

  • I love this idea. I'm just wondering about off gassing? Polyurethane is pretty toxic. Has the air inside been tested after its cured up?

  • NO mask NO googles ?????
