@beroth77 I have no intention of starting another fight with you, but come on! "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" a "mean thing"?? First of all, for me that was a very good album - and they kept making them better, at least until Ronnie left. Now, as far as Elf are concerned, if they had a true relationship, they wouldn't break up with their guitarist. And Dio could have quit when Ritchie threw everyone out, but he went on without them. And Ritchie's solos are endless but they are by no means crappy!

@beroth77 He really is unrecognisable! And it's not only the beard: when you look at him side-face he does not resemble the non-bearded Klaus at all! Yet, he's eyes and nose are (of course) the same. I suppose that if I didn't know that was Klaus, it would take a lot of time (or the eternity) to realise it. Same goes for the "Lonesome Crow" album. Apart from some specific points, his voice (and also his pronunciation) is very different. Great vocals, though. And - needless to say - great album.

Responder a este vídeo... i mean this guys have very higuer range than dio but couldnt sing his songs...grahan bonnet is another...reaches a 1000 octaves but cant handle dio

@beroth77 i always tought like that. klaus is more complete..versatile.but the live shows are very important to me for judge a singer.and dio is much better than klaus when it comes to the most important moment... the show..but i really always will have a doubt between them...but is not a contest right...buut i saw halford shit his pants trying sing children of the sea...it sounded bad really and saw Tim ripper doing such a fiasco in gates of babylon...barely faded had to do a pathetic falseto

the first rainbow albun was a really mean thing ritchie blackmore did...the way he did...and in rainbow shows he did endless crapy solos...cause he realight"ze dio was becaming bigger than him...but you know the story of raibow lp by 75...ritchie "bought"the whole elf band just kicked out the guitarrist so he had no competition...and in the second albun rising...he fired all other members exept dio

@beroth77 Yes I do know the work of Klaus deeply and I can say that, as far as Dio-fronted Rainbow and Sabbath are concerned, I know the work of Dio deeply as well (that does not mean that I have no idea of what he did outside these two bands). They have many differences but also some similarities - I still think that they were inspired from one another. Yet, we clearly disagree here, so maybe we should just stop. I don't think this is going to lead anywhere.

@beroth77 Dio was six years older than Klaus. Dio started singing in 1957 which means that Klaus was nine at the time. Dio was fifteen. Klaus started in 1965 when he was 17. Elf signaled for Dio the transmission from rock 'n' roll to hard rock and metal. The first Rainbow album was released in 1975, by which time Scorpions had already released their first two albums and one month later they released their third. When he joined Black Sabbath, the Scorps were one of the fastest rising bands around.
