Thanks for turning an inspiring episode into a liberal progressive propaganda piece. Bush and Cheney are gone, so let's start the Obama and Biden impeachment.

They got it partly from the Native Americans. Look at what Washington and Jefferson thought of Native Americans. It was actually the Native Americans who exposed the founders to the idea of being "free" since they had never encountered a society where there was no monarch.
And sorry, I'll take a scientist over a politician anyway. The founders were politicians (in part) and in that respect what they did had a lot of flaws remains with us to this day.

YALL STOOPID FUKRS...SHUT UP....HUSH....

@MrFoxfan67 You are wrong. Cite from The Constitution where it says we are a Christian nation. The Native Americans had the "Great Father" or "Great Spirit", and most of them acted more Christian-like than the Eurpeans who drove them off their native lands. Abraham Lincoln had to deal with Christian fundamentalists who wanted to ordain this country as a Christian nation. He ignored them.

The most important sentence our nation has ever put down into words, and sadly so few of us know it by heart.

@TheTubePortal 1st We where founded as a Christian Nation with the Freedom to worship God how ever you wanted . Our founders held church services in the chambers of Congress, Treasury building. The first Congress opened its first session with a prayer. Our Country has mutated in to a secular Nation. they believed our Nation was formed with help of divine providence. Our rights came to us not by other men or Kings & queens but directly from God, So... men, kings & queens cannot take them away.

@MrFoxfan67 - The Magna Charta and other documents which came long before them. The movement towards personal liberty and human freedom began during the darkest days of Papal oppression when the Church reigned supreme and nobody was allowed to question. The scary thing is that now Evangelicals are trying to copy them and make a church/state power by claiming America is a "Christian nation", which is not true. We are a secular nation, under God yes, but with freedom of any or no religion.

@dans1120 You'll notice I was in fact critical of the episode.
The yangs had indeed lost the knowledge of America's founding principles. The only thing Cloud William got right was that Comms are for killing.
@pigsdofly6 I love how foreigners snark at Americans for their flaws but seem totally blind to their own. No culture or nation is perfect. I'm just surprised at how Yanks generally just shrug and go on with their lives, though. Most foreigners, on the other hand, like to spew their cunnies over every little criticism. Can't help but admire the Yanks for having thicker skins than their detractors. And hey, none of them were quite as terrible as Hitler or Stalin. Or British imperialism.

@pigsdofly6 How little you know our Founding Fathers. Never in the history of Mankind has such brilliance assemble in one time in History to try to improve mankind. More has been accomplished in the last 250 years due to the blessings of Liberty for the common man... than the previous 5,000 years. In the Declaration, what did they mean when stated "among the powers of the Earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them"? Where did they get it?
