GenkJapan.Net: Kawara Soba Japanese Noodles - served on a roof tile!

Just had my iphone today so apologies for the quality. This is かわらそば and かわら (瓦) means "Roof tile" and that's what they serve it on!

Japanese food is never dull.

Is the noodle made out of some type of vegetable or is it just colored green?

The quality was pretty good in spite of only having your phone. So I think we would love to see more food vids even if you only have your phone with you. I especially enjoy the vids where you have shops. The displays are so pretty and everything is so interesting. I think about where I buy my own food... not that pretty.

That looks delicious! I wish Japanese restaurants here in the US were half as good (and reasonably priced!) as those in Japan. Buckwheat (Soba) noodles must not be popular with Americans because whenever I order it here, I get Angel Hair and believe me, I know the difference! haha. Glad you're eating well, Richard! Love the websites btw. :)
