  • ....and.....if you don't mind me asking, how much did that thing cost to build...? Assuming the lad in the vid is yours, you have a wife...? Was she still still speaking to you by the end of the build........?

  • @rampart1664 This video is when I first bought the bike for $4500, if you watch any of my other videos the bike is flat black now and I had a new front suspension put on the front that cost $ 300 and I had to buy a few other things to finish the front end like brake disc and caliper and I bought new clutch lever and brake reservoir so total with the cost of bike just guessing I would have to find all my reciepts but around $5500

  • Nice bike! That's weird, I think that's a XLCH.

I have a 69 XLH and it takes a battery. Mine also is only numbered on the engine, and not the frame. My manual states that any sportster before 1970 were only engine stamped. So you have a unique bike. Maybe it was special ordered? Very Nice though to say the least.

  • Your right it is weird I keep thinking maybe someone took the electric start case of and put kick start on it , if thats possible I dont know too much about them. A friend of mine just got done building a 58 panhead and he has lots of books on harleys I should ask and see what he says

  • looks more like a ch to me

  • The frame and motor are matching numbers and they both have XLH on them as does the title. Maybe it's some odd ball factory screw up or something.

  • Amazing looking bike, I've a 69' XLCH which is being rebuilt, I was going to go for the electronic ignition but... I dunno, some say the original setup is best, I'm open to advice. I'm also putting an 83' disc wire wheel front end on it, it's been machined to fit straight on to the original frame neck, if it ends up looking half as good as the bike in the vid I'll be happy.

  • Very nice bike!!

  • looks like your boy is getting the harley fever, i got it too

  • I'm not really making it into a chopper I think of it as both new and old school sporster the rake has not been alterd I just put new as in 1986 or newer forks on and I wanted a disc brake for safer stops cuz I'm going to ride it alot . I want it to look like a 1200 custom sporster that you might see at a dealer.
