A prohibitionist is the sort of man one couldn't care to drink with, even if he drank.

Whilst I don't want any smoker stinking up anywhere near me - I am as furious as you are about Government giving themselves special privileges just for them.
Disgusting.

to do WHAT?? superiority complex?? God does't like ugly, period. There are NO slaves in our heavenly home. But where the HATERS go, there will be. Repent! or suffer eternity.

When the Messiah comes every Jew will have 2800 slaves.

but why do you say that!! are not all men created equal?

Check out my videos on the smoking ban. I plan on fighting them over the illegal smoking ban which they had no right to pass.
This is typical of todays political `elites ´!
MEP's are also allowed to smoke in the EU parliament buildings in Brussels and Strasbourg !
P.S. Has anyone out there read `Smoke,Lies and the Nanny State ´ by Joe Jackson ?

That was one of the first things I read when this whole ban business started. It opened my eyes to the fraud for the first time and they've been open ever since. I recomend it for everyone.

I think a good comprimise wouldve been having a full ban in places that dont serve alcohol, and allow places that serve alcohol to have a properly sealed off indoor smoking area as long as they have a decent sized non smoking area.

But why force venues to provide a non smoking area if its only going to lie empty. The real issue is free choice for business/property owners. Those that wish to be smoke free can be so, while those that wish to allow smoking (or have separate areas) can also do so. Then we, as customers, can freely choose which venues to visit.

good point. Somethings got to be done about this ban.How much trade has been lost since the introduction of the ban?

We're now aproaching 3000 pubs closed since the ban began. But the government refuse to admit the glaringly obvious, that they were wrong. It would be so simple to amend the wording of the law, to state that "It is illegal to smoke inside any premises that the owner of which wishes to be smoke free".
This would allow them to save face, while freeing publicans and other business owners to get back to doing what they do best, running their own business's the way they wish.
