  • juan alderete from the mars volta is switching from fender to lakland. it just seams its not up to contend. please tell me laklands are good enough.

  • They are good enough I love the Fender Jazz Deluxe but when I bought the Lakland I sold my Fender because they are so simiular but the Lakland is way more exciting cause of the tones it produces

  • warwicks sound better

  • thats a matter of opinion but this bass rocks and is only like $700 I had a Warwick for like 10 years and it never sounded this good, now the warwick is constructed a whole lot better than this bass.

  • What Brand of strings do you use & do you take them through the body.

  • I use DR(which ever set of DR that is on sale at the time I like all the DR) and yes I take them thru the body to me I cant tell any difference.

  • super,super,super......

  • Hot!

  • black dude slappin in Eb, fuck yea

  • Nice playing.

  • hey man nice bass!!

  • Lakland make expensive basses too

  • are you kidding man? 5000!? where did you get that price. try more around 1000. and the warmth doesnt always come from the bass. alot of it comes from the rig you play through

  • The bass that he is playing, is only about $700-$800. But you are 100% correct about Lakland basses. There aint a Lakland out there worth paying 4-$5000's for. I own a Lakland Skyline 5502 & it sounds just as good as the higher priced Laklands & I spent ,$1100. I know first hand, cause I took my bass to the factory & compared.
