A 60-sec commercial being run nationally by Campaign Life Coalition, first on Sun TV and CTS, but finances permitting, on other networks too. The commercial arose due to the BC Supreme Court case (Carter v. Attorney General) which the judge is expected to rule upon in February 2012. The case seeks to abolish the law that protects vulnerable Canadians from assisted suicide & euthanasia. This spot proves that there is a dangerous slippery slope as demonstrated in the Dutch experience. Contact your federal MP, the Prime Minister and Justice Minister Rob Nicholson. Urge them to invoke the notwithstanding clause (Sec 33), if necessary, to overrule any bad decision by the judge, should that be the case. Please also write letters to the editor of your local newspaper and phone in to talk radio, about this issue.
Where are these statistics from? Dutch law only allows euthanasia in the case of the patient's EXPLICIT request!

@RationalSuicide Are you saying that a fetus in the womb is a human life? If so, tell me when it is logical to kill the life? Emphasis on, "kill". Answer: never. Grow up my friend.

@RationalSuicide My dear friend, what religious views? I am watching an ad against euthanasia using another country's facts to show their point. They don't want the same to happen in Canada. So yet again, what religion.

the "slipper slope" argument is all you got? I honestly don't have any reservations on the question of euthanasia, but this add is so bad it edges me towards the "pro euthanasia" side. it's literally saying "euthanasia isn't bad, but if we went beyond what the laws are being proposed, well that would be bad". So why don't we just not propose the crappy laws? i'd expect this kind of fear mongering in the US, but up here? despicable.
