Hi this is my second video that i have released. This one is an introduction to negative painting using masking fluid by Shiva, Stephen Quiller paper and brushes, with Yarka paints. For more information on workshops contact me at sylruss@mts.net
Very nice demo. You might want to fill in some details, like telling us the colors you've used and telling beginners that you removed the masking fluid in the last steps. I hope you do more videos.
Thanks for your comment and encouraging words...I didn't know how to draw at all when I started with watercolor and I was happy to learn that a person can trace their image, color the back of the image with heavy pencil (called graphiting) and then use it like a piece of carbon paper to "draw" on top of the image with pencil...this helped for small bldgs etc. But if you can just play with salt, saran, etc. with lots of experimental bookmarks , you'll have fun!
Thinking of taking up watercolor for the first time. I want to paint landscapes but I feel kind of intimidated. I'm not much of an artist when it comes to drawing and i know that most watercolor artists at least sketch before they paint. I'm not sure if it is for me or if I will be good at it. Love your instructions by the way. :)
