Only ever saw Jim once. Do particularly love Norland Wind. I love the sound off the wild geese flying over , with there haunting call. My late wife loved to just stand and listen to them. She never got bored with that sound. The day she died, she had only been gone around 10 minutes, when over the hospital flew the largest skeen of geese, I think I've ever seen. They were flying very low. I am sure they were giving her a last fly-past.
To any one who loves Traditional Music Jim Reid was one of Dundee's finest musicians - heard him many times - true gentle giant in traditional music - RIP Yvonne
To all who enjoy Jim Reid's music, you can find more of his songs on a you tube posting entitled KAYS ORIGINALS, Jim is being intervued with another Dundee lass calld Elie McDonald. Jim sing The Jute Mill song and Norland Wind,
Listening to the broad Dundee accents as I remember them brings back a lot of great memories. RIP Jim

Love Norland wind as I can relate to the sentiments of the song, and also Jim Reid potrays the sentiments very well, he'll be sadly missed.
