Getaway in Dar- From Mwenge and south through Namanga t shoppers plaza.

So this is material from Dar es Salaam, filmed with an ordinary camera strapped to my chest. I was driving this agile little four-stroke Honda Super Cub 50cc, which opened up the horrible traffic in Dar. What you see is in no way extreme, it's just like any other day driving in Dar.

@idkyoo Much appreciated. I actually felt like I did some pretty low key maneuvering compared to some other drivers in Dar, and proactive driving felt like the best way to avoid getting rammed by any of those devil-may-care SUVs who give shit about anything smaller than them.

Good cars in Tanzania. In Madacascar all cars are 15-50 years old french cars like citroen 2 cv. In Addis Ababa the cars are mostly old HI Aces and decade old soviet Ladas.

That's true, most cars are new, but i'd be surprised if that many can afford a car at all in TZ. What you see is probably a clear manifestation of the huge income gaps in the country, rather than a high mean standard of living.

It's actually just a 50cc, but a 4stroke w a lot of torque. I once strapped 4 huge travel bags with the weight of app 50kg and it hardly made a difference

What a perfect solution for the traffic jam! A very good way to get around in Dar with ease. Maneuvering around needs some attention indeed. Thx for the video, twas like watching a movie segment.
