If you want a bigger tank, for a 10th the cost. Just buy some sheet plexy glass and get some poxy.
The insane prices for these tanks blows me away. When i could build one for 10% to 05% the sales cost under 8hours.

these oscars are not fighting there testing eachovers strength and playing around it can also mean that there ready to breed and they will do some dances and lay eggs on a flat surface,
you will know when there fighting..

I used to have a mating pair of Oscars.. A real LOVE/HATE relationship.. sometimes they'd look out for each other and nurture each other..
and other times..
omg the fights they had.. woke the whole house up, moved rocks and one time, broke the glass lid..
great fish but.. real character

i had a 4 inch jack dempsey that fought a 5 inch jaguar cichlid the jags mouth was way bigger. They dont compare mouthsizes oscars r jus pussies

They were in a 220g until it exploded! Now they're in a nice 125g with some other happy community fish ...

Yes - Freshwater. I love really big, hearty fish. They're like water puppies! :)

As a matter of fact, they were PetSmart specials. Like $5 each, when they were 1" long.
