I think there's worse culprits than Lady Gaga. Her music may not be great but at least she writes her own music and lyrics because I think she originally started off writing songs for other artists until she was spotted singing a melody to one of the singers she'd written a song for.

Katy Perry's worse, Kings of Leon sold out to the PR devil something awful and the Killers think theie music will be remembered more than Nirvanas or Led Zeppelins. These are the people who have cheapened music.
