Amtrak 5 With Private Cars And Great K5LA, Monmouth, IL

The Zephyr not only has a great K5LA, it also has 4 private cars on the rear. I've heard that these cars are bound for California (obviously) to be put on the Coast Starlight. From there, they will be put on the ATSF 3751 Steam Excursion.

that first PV - "Caritas" - I hate that car - from the outside it is an eyesore when in most consists. It did trips on HRRC a few years back and boy it "didn't fit in" behind a pair of FL9s....
