  • was this supposed to be the very last episode of LHOTP ?

  • @shirahbe No, actually "Hello and Goodbye" is the last episode from season 9 of LHOTP. However, there was also a series of made for t,v movies that some LHOP fans regard as season 10 of the series.

  • Thanks for uploading these 2 episodes, they are my favourite!!

  • @ketandev You're welcome! : D

  • @EmilyA1984 They were probably supposed to be tortoiseshell.

  • This episode was really good, but I just have two questions: One, how long was Mary at the school for the blind? Also, I saw Mary and Caroline wearing plastic hair combs/barrettes in their hair. Had plastic been invented in the time in which this show takes place?

  • That made me said but they come back and when I watched the episode when they came back I was so happy

  • @MissKreutzfeldt thanks for clearing that up ! I already suspected as much cause the way the episode is made up kinda shows it was supposed to be the last one. Good thing they changed their mind !

  • @shirahbe According to Wikipedia, this show was originally supposed to be the last, but they apparently(and thankfully) changed their mind . This was intended by NBC as the final episode of the series, but the show ended up being renewed for the following season.

  • "Mary is going to teach in a school for the blind... to help other blind children."It is just heartbreaking ,and the vicar cannot help having a sob.Mary is very beautiful otherwise until the end of the part.

  • fuck that last part made me sob!

  • @shirahbe Actually, I believe at the time, it was thought that this was going to be the series finale. I read this in Melissa Sue Anderson's memoir... but, I guess since ratings were high, they renewed the show for another season.... and THANK GOODNESS, because we would miss out on so much, like Laura growing up, other great episodes, and ALBERT of course! lol

  • I loved the characters of Rev. Alden and Charles Ingalls -- I forgot Dabbs Greer could ham it up and turn on the water works as good as Michael Landon! :)
