Your rations have chocolate in it which is extremely basic. Throwing it in acid dilutes and turns the acid essentially into water.

That sounds sort of familiar but you might have just implanted the memory by suggesting it. I guess if you show me the post where I said that I'll believe it but I might have to unsubscribe from you if your video recorder doesn't work.

It was Metal Gear Solid 2 Playthrough Part 7 of 13. (I'd link you directly, but links get really glitchy in Youtube comments. Just look through my videos for it.)
That day, Youtube was messing up and causing every video on the site to look glitchy, but you thought it was my video recorder. (Though my video recorder did mess up during that playthrough, it was later on in it, not in that part. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems of the sort before or since.)
