Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of PLANET PATROL for the Atari 2600 video game console. CGR-HD has been busy with new Playstation 3 PS3 games like GT5 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Dark Sector and our console review of the PS3, but we haven't forgotten where gaming came from. Especially in the awesome shoot em' up maniac shooter SHMUP video gaming world. Planet Patrol is an awesome early horizontally scrolling space shooter for us shmups fans. Released by Spectravision in the early 1980's this game is a lot of fun and has you patrolling a Star Trek or Star Wars type planet at day and night and fighting off waves of enemies. A must have for serious classic arcade retro old school gaming collectors.

Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. XBLA.

  • You're not supposed to shoot the black ship. You're supposed to rescue it.

  • No way, this game is fun (not the absolute best but still fun) and even though yes it was released in 83 it doesnt mean it's one of the carbon copy games.

And he actually has reviewed Enduro already.

  • Parallax scrolling on the 2600!!! :)

  • Thank you!

Still i would love to see the "bonus level" which starts when you "rescue" the mothership I guess.

Have lost that game decades ago and never found it again. But it burned into my memory!

  • Enduro is also another atari game that has day/night settings. But I guess he's just talking about flying games.

  • @pugfan1976 why do you have to comment 3 times to say 1 thing? its annoying as hell

  • 2:54 lol

  • 2:52

  • check out 2:51 for proof of bad hit detection

  • This game has the worst hit detection ever. Ruins the fun

  • ou baby
