A 1930's Wurlitzer model 105 Military Band Organ, recently restored, plays again. The song is "Alte Komeraden" (Old Comrades), converted to a 105/125 scale from a Rich Olsen Arrangement for a 165-scale Band Organ.
The foliage on top is my concession to get the Band Organ permanently in the Den!
A few Piccolo and Trumpet Pipes are slightly out of tune ....again. It never ends.
The Audio quality is pretty bad - too much compression. I haven't yet found the right combination of settings, distance, etc, on the Camera.

  • What is the selling price for this Wurlitzer 105

  • @duchessyt : It's not for sale, and I have a personal attachment for it. These do not up for sale very often, so it's difficult to judge it's value. This one is all original, restored, and it has Midi installed, which makes it much more valuable - to me.

  • Do you have Betty lee fox trot?

  • @anglerfly : Yes, I have a copy of Betty Lee, from Terry Smythe's scan of the original Roll. However, we have just begun packing to move to another house (with a large Air Conditioned Workshop). So I will not be able to make new videos for the next few weeks. - Max9046

  • Fantastic organ. I wish I had one of these myself. I watched and listened to other videos that you made, and I have to wonder... Do you have part of the carousel that this beauty came from? Just curious.

  • No. I don't have any details on exactly which Carousel it was used with. It was shipped toto Ross Davis in L.A. and apparently remained in that general area. It was spotted about 15 years ago in Long Beach in a Company that rented Amusements for Special Occasions. The next recorded appearance was at an Auction about ten years ago. The previous owner purchased it there. To see how it looked and sounded when I purchased it, search for "Wurlitzer 105 playing".

  • @max9046 WHEN YOU DO PLEASE POST IT !!!

  • @max9046 Well wehn yuo Do PLease post it.

  • Cool I think I'll do that. Thank you. It's such a wonderful machine. I wish all carousels kept their band organs. It's such an important piece of the ride. Now it's all recorded on radio and it doesn't sound half as nice as the real thing.
