Italian-born Dario Campanile who was advised by Salvador Dali and Georgia deChirico as a young artist in Rome, now lives in Maui Hawaii but is an artist of the world. He was commissioned to paint the snowy mountain peak forming the logo for Paramount Pictures and was selected as one of the artists from around the world to capture the essence of the Dalai Lama and his mission. Campanile recently traveled to India to meet his holiness and create his contribution to the now touring Missing Peace exhibit. A painter-sculptor known as a skilled master of many techniques including classical, expressionistic and abstract, Campanile uses luminous colors to achieve a natural glow in paintings showing contrast and shadow in the hopes of moving peoples souls.
