@whywilson11 Ya, I know what a slew foot is, and Marchment is doing that as they head into the boards; basically driving his knee into the boards. Even Don Cherry commented on this hit, saying it was cheap and dirty, and I agree.

@bareknuckles2u His knee didnt even land to Nieuwendyks knee. Accident, not trying to hurt purposefully a player. Marchments elbow on Modano was pretty cheap i know. This is more an accident(fast game and there do happen less nice things at some point because of fast and physically game, barely they try to kill each other LOL hmh).

@bareknuckles2u Marchment didnt even put his left leg on Nieuwendyks leg IMO and not try any slewfoot IMO. I think his left leg hitted/landed to the ass of Nieuwendyk and he owned Joe but not even dirty hit.

So you know a slew foot, involves tripping the other player with your leg. This sort of starts out as a slew foot BUT LOOK AT THE DATE ITS 1998 sorry but that is a 100% legal check at that time
