I ordered this lip stain... and hated it. Right when I opened it I noticed that it smelled awful, like chemicals. It made me want to gag. The texture was grainy and just sat on my lips, didnt blend or anything. The gloss was better but this had this awful chemical smell.

I bought all the elf products you recomended and I just loved them all. Thanks for the honest review on this. This is what separates the real Makeup pros on Youtube I want to know the good and the bad and also that the person I am trusting to help me make purchases is not just saying all good things because they are paid to. You and Gossmakeupartist are the best pros on the tube.

@luv4corgis probably, best bet would be to invest in a nice lip stain. i like the stila lip stains, however they are pricey..so i'd save up! (i play the clarinet too:)

I play the clarinet, and I'm looking for an inexpensive lipstain that works. If I were to only put on the color side of this lipstain, do you think it would stain my clarinet reed?
