@cstoner15 I'm also from PA, and you're right it is a state law that if you are running red emergency lights to a call you are suppose to have a siren going as well. A lot of departments don't follow that though just for respect for the community later at night/early morning.

That is by far the nicest ladder truck I have seen! It's a pierce right? What year?

@TheEMS41 state law. if red lights are flashing a siren has to be on. That is also a blind corner we have no idea if someone is coming or not. and finally the drivers in and around town are some of the worst drivers i have ever seen

@cstoner15 Is it a law, or is it just volunteers that like to make noise anytime they're in the truck? lol. What state?

@mooo483 and we dont make noise any time we are in the truck we have a list of calls that are non-emergency

@cstoner15 Don't think its a law cause I live in Doylestown (not too far from you!) and they don't run with sirens at night unless there's enough traffic. Maybe a little at intersections but that's it.

@b747dude we generally dont use sirens late at night as well. maybe just wind the Q a little bit but nothing major. this video was probably taken at 8 or 8:30 (not that late) and I was just stating it was a law but as we all know laws are not always followed and most cases having common courtesy at 3 in the morning is perfered over following the law
