when I was just a kid, I watched a cartoon in which Carmen sang this song, but all were character-food and she was a lobster ... I can not find it anywhere.

I think that, the adiction of brass, created a musical shape, beautiful , but with little south american taste. But we can wonder about some influence of Gabriel Ruiz on the Rio carnival songs , (since mid 50´s )hearing at 0:50. Congratulations for the vid.
