www.FCPH.com This is a quick video to give you an idea of how Final Cut Pro X syncs audio. There is also a quick overview of where you can find tools to help you fix bad audio. Without listening to the audio once, you can sync the clips. You can correct audio within a few seconds thanks to the visual feedback Final Cut Pro X gives you. FCPX is 64-bit which allows it to run very quickly and get a lot of this work done in the background.

An Awesome Guide to Final Cut Pro X is on iTunes and Kindle, download it now to get up and running fast.

  • How do you edit spikes in the natural audio ? Like a cough , sneeze , ect.

  • @sngltrick With the audio clip selected, go to the inspector. Open the audio analysis tools. There are options here for removing hum, background noise and correcting for loudness. Beyond these tools that are many audio filters to try and help. Sometimes I can remove a cough by modifying the Equalization (EQ) in the audio enhancements menu. Press the button to the right to display the graph. You may need to add Logic to your set of tools if these filters do not help.

  • This was awesome. Question I noticed that you had one clip to sync the music on. My question is if I'm trying to make a music video, and i want to move around the clips in my music video do i still go through the same process?

  • @munificencez Yes. After syncing the clips you can use the Position tool (shortcut P) to move those clips around without changing anything else. If you need anymore help send me an email for the fastest response FinalCutProHelp@me.com I'm also going to be putting up another video this week about editing a music video that might give you some more tips.

  • @FinalCutProHelp One last question. What I'm asking is you know how in music videos they have different shots you knowing singing the words to the song. i WANT the music to match perfectly to the video lip sing. How do i switch the clips around without messing anything up or gaps . Would i sync each one individually?

  • @munificencez You can sync all of the clips at once and then just change layer order. This is what the video I'll be putting up will show. I'll message you when it's posted.

  • Thanks

  • Very helpful thanks a bunch!! I plan on making music videos for my songs so this is gonna be helpful!

  • Cool voice man. You sound like Adam Sandler.

  • @BouIsmailALG Great question, right now the best beat is to wait for full multi-cam support which is coming in the next few weeks. Right now you can do multiple camera but you have to sync them on at a time to the main audio track. Then bring those clips to the timeline. You can use the audio track (which is the same on each clip) to sync them. This way is annoying but still faster compared to FCP 7

  • Thx for the tutorial. Do you know if it's possible to sync different videoclips to one audio clip. For example in a music video.
