I have a Cinema Display w Thunderbolt and a 27" 2011 iMac. Both screens have a generally yellow cast to them. On the Cinema Display, I corrected the temp to about 75K. But the iMac seems to be getting yellower with time. it's at 85K. So much for 65K. If Apple is going to continue to spit out these expensive and faulty screens, at least add some built in sotware/hardware solution, that can help correct some of these issues.

Hey, my dad got himself an iMac 21,5" after discovering how cool my mba was. I wanted to check the screen for yellow tint, but the link is broken. Do you know where I could find it again? Thanks!

It's impossible for most firms to contract with Apple. They have such a greedy policy and low budget, no one can work with them and actually make a profit. It's a mostly break even deal.

got mine yesterday.. thank you sooo much.. i checked mine straight away.. sadly had a yellow tint at the bottem of the screen:(.. but apple was really nice, sendin me a new one right away :).. thank you.. noticed it quickly!

Maybe editing some video & pictures at most was thinking is it worth while spending on the HDD/SSD

Looking for advice from anyone,I'm about to buy a new 27' iMac just wondering should I spend extra an get the SSD/HDD confiq on my mac or just spend on something else is it worthwhile.

Hmm, Apple would blame LG for it :P Because LG made the screen.

@Wiejeben apparently thats exactly the issue when it comes to the iPad 2 (LG supply the screens). The shortage is because Apple is looking for another supplier... or atleast, that is the rumour.
