My Romanian began doing the same thing after the second cleaning. Two thoughts: does the hammer need to be in full-cock when you reassemble? Second, the hammer assembly doesn't sit flush with the rails, like it's bouncing on something in the grip portion of the frame. The slide pushes it down into position, but maybe this contributes to the problem? BTW, great video. One of the most well done I've seen.

@rusobr1 Perhaps it just has a super heavy hammer spring? It's pretty hard to figure out what is going on without being able to inspect the gun.

excelllent vid..very well done on the small tips of take down...i own 2 of these... the one i just picd up has the newer type grips, now this gun is stiff, and i can't figure out why...to charge it w/o pulling hammer back is next to impossable(my other one is not)once you pull hmr bk,dry fire is easy,4-5#-once u chamber a rnd, trgr pull has to be at least 25-27 maybe mor ? i kept looken to see if sfty was on....i'm scratchen my head as to why....any help would be great....thanks, steven

@hallis1 The lack of a decent safety catch is probably the biggest issue with original pattern TT-33's compared to most other pistols.
its like a russian 1911

@solidussnake9000 The design is certainly more than a little influenced by John Moses Browning!

@twogun1969 Mines worked 100% so far, and it's accurate to boot.
