Rush Tribute Band 2112 - Tom Sawyer live at Jones Beach 2007

Rush Tribute Band 2112 performing 'Tom Sawyer' for the Q104.3 Summer Concert Series at Jones Beach Bandshell in 2007....we shared the night with our good friends from Evolution, the ULTIMATE Journey tribute....since it was an outdoor family show, it's kinda funny how people just decide to cross in front of the camera and hang out right in front of the stage....100% live! Mistakes and all! (and yes, the bass guitar was too low in the main mix...) We are a TRIBUTE to Rush, we are NOT out to prove "we can play Rush". We get a lot of enjoyment doing this and we in by no means, intend to portray that we are anything close to our musical heroes. Basically, we are 4 HUGE fans that want to insure if you come out to see us we will share with you a great classic Rush audio and visual experience. Please keep that in mind as you watch knowing that we are as passionate about this music as you are. All original compositions are property of Rush. @TheDannyparks There are many Rush tribute bands out there using the name 2112. I believe you're referring to the 'original' 2112 with George McGrew as Geddy Lee. His current (new) 2112 three piece line up can be heard on YT channel esgravil and check out my channel (I'm his drummer) for drum performances.

What happened to this band? I used to tour with these guys back in 1996 and they were a three (3) piece with a bass player that sounded and looked identical to Geddy Lee. I know he always said he wanted to play the Alex Lifeson part, but I never thought they would end up a four (4) piece who didn't look the part. They do sound good though.
