The Drummer and the Dancer workshop
with Jim Donovan and Sean McLeod.
This workshop is where their talents overlaped each other and where Jim and Sean work as twin forces! Sean conducts the mixed level drum orchestra through the nuances of playing for live dance while creating an infectious groove to lock dancers and on lookers into that creative sphere.

Through Jim and Sean's collaboration and almost organic interaction with one another, drummers gain the benefit of learning how to play for dancers, and dancers learn that mistakes must be embraced and even enjoyed to find real success.

Jim Donovan (Producer and Founding Member of Rusted Root) gently guides the participants through a series of
steps designed to help students center, unify, and create lasting bonds with each other through drumming. The program focuses on listening skills, cooperation, leadership, support, expression, relaxation and having fun. Jims relaxed and humor infused style of teaching is non intimidating and all-inclusive. *Learn the basics of hand drumming. *Play music in an energized group setting

Sean McLeod (multi award winning Choreographer and Producer) amazes many with his vibrant attitude toward life, people, and his art. In a somewhat magical way, Sean brings out the very best in people from all walks of life. He has helped clients, colleagues, family and friends to find and celebrate the inner light within each and every one
of them. He settles for nothing less than an individual's personal best, and shows them how to meet the face of every challenge head on!
