Great work. On one of my VAWTs To run the wire up to the stator I used a hollow threaded rod that is used for light fixtures. You can find them in the light and fan section at Lowes or Homedepot.

Just curious, when you drill metal do you put any oil on it, or just do it dry? I usually use oil, but sometimes all that does is give me burning oil.

@sjh7132 I usually use a little 30 W oil; a couple drops. This time I used a couple drops of trombone slide oil because it was handy. That seemed to work well. :-)
