In this documentary, Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge Stephen Hawking, explains how things came to be as they are, in a rational way.
No size and infinitely hot, yet dropping? How can it even reach infinite hotness? And even if that was possible (which makes no sense), what is 1 minus infinity? Exactly, so how can it decrease? Anyway, just watch this: watch?v=tHVLSMAJmPg
So, where did the energy and mass come from for the big bang? Maybe the cosmos always existed in different dynamic forms . Now they say there are multiple universes and dimensions. So we may have to think of God not in anthromorphic terms but as the primal force or forces which are eternal, creative and destructive, but not conscious, not sentient as we once imagined? The alternative sounds like an alien creator, or a God in our image, not the reverse.
@duncanng3@loveJesus4eternity There is no evidence for or against god, there is just stuff. Why argue something that can't be proven or disproven? You guys should take up apatheism.
But how did the gases form in the first place to make the big bang happen, i understand how the big bang theory works, however surely the fundemental question here is how did the gases and space form before the big bang ???
I think they are making a big mistake right from the beginning, at 4:24 the say the universe started with "zero size and infinitely hot". They think everything for billions of light years in every direction is NOTHING, they think that the universe is that little tiny thing that they say was small and hot and has expanded to what it is today, forgetting what this thing was sitting in in the first place. what ever that blackness is (looks like nothing but its not) is what created all matter.

He's funny. But I thought 0+0 =0. How does some thing emerge from no thing?
Anyway now there are supposed to be multiple universes, so maybe the cosmos is infinite? I haven't finished the movie yet to find out.

don't 4get folx.
PHYSICS, as we know it now, didn't exist b4 big bang time.
NONE of the laws we know of - gravity, nuclear forces, electro-magnetism etc.
And for those who can't envision NO SIZE.
An IDEA has no size for example.
Thought, beauty, love etc.
Some things have no size, yet BECOME something.
In all, it's simply beyond our comprehension (another 'no size' reality).
Some things we will simply NOT fully comprehend ever - and that is what makes life wonder (no - size) full.
