@SGTRaffaele I am a girl and much to my dismay no matter how fit I am i cannot be infantry. Oorah i was never really sure how to spell that thanks for the correction :)

@RMJK2095 Why can't you join infantry? And its Oorah btw. You're joining that Marine Corps not the army.

Excellent...I wonder how many people realize the caliper of the young men and women who join the Marines. My oldest bother was a Marine, he fought in Viet Nam, and he was so proud to be a Marine, and I was proud of him. I love the picture of the Marine offering the flag to a little boy who had lost his Dad, he wants to cry, but he doesn't. I couldn't be prouder of the young men and women of the Corp...Semper Fi! This is a really great tribute, thank you for posting!

I leave for bootcamp September 10th. good luck to everyone who joins and make sure you PT with your recruiter. It helps alot with getting into shape and you feel more connected with those other poolees. I hope everyone else gets a recruiter as me.

i wanted to enlist in the Marines this year, but fate had a different route for me, so i was diagnosed with a A collapsed lung, it was due to an injury but they wrote it as spontaneous, so i can't enlist till sept 2013 :( but once i do join, I will make all the past present and future marines proud.
