What happened was that the lift that brings Mickey up during every show just stopped working. It's a one time thing. Disney will never let it happen again.

Mickey never shows up...if you look closely during 00:19-00:22, up on the stage when its lit, hes supposed to be there but he never made his cue. Later on the music gets cut off and the show is restarted.
