Rochester Hills Velodrome crash

Rider in white tries to go low during a Miss-and-Out. He falls over the rear wheel of rider in red and gets his right hand caught between the seat stay and the spokes. He also gets dragged several feet.
We can laugh now. He's as tough as nails and is totally fine, but he wasn't shaking many hands in the next few weeks.
The track is fun to ride. 200m with 44d banking in the turns.

hey why do they always put a disc in the rear wheel instead of the front?

The bike is harder to control if the disc's on the front. The wind plays with it too much.

In the 90s, some guys used to ride discs on front AND back. They don't do it anymore.

in canada there are only 2 velodromes, in ontario which i am from i rode at the velo in london when i was 12 and crashed it hurt so much and the person who hit me was a pro......

@RochesterCycling Higher levels of racing still use discs on the front and back. THey usually only do that in team pursuit and on indoor tracks
