  • Paul I used to watch Donna Reed every night with My Dad. I was 16 when you first recorded this song. My Father and I sat and watched together. I will never forget I turned to my Dad and said that's you too Dad. He's gone now but never forgotten. You look and sound as wonderful as you did when we were young thanks for the memories.

  • Wow !!! What a treat seeing you again and hearing you sing this wonderful song !

This is really great. Thanks for posting this !

  • you still sing great

  • thanks a lot really. I really love this song and my dad. 2 of my favorite songs are my dad and mama by BJ Thomas. dad in 87 and mom in 99. they will live forever. I tell my youger about them all the time.

  • Man, I remember watching the original show with my family where he sang this song back in 1960. There was not a dry eye in the house.

  • i lost my dad but i cry to this song

  • Wow, 50 years later!!! Class act brother. Loved it…

  • I cry too! I love this song! If only we all had a Dad that deserved it! I am so fortunate that I do!

  • I have cried EVERY time I hear this song...since the first time it aired on The Donna Reed Show!

  • Paul, what a wonderful video! What wonderful memories this song brings back..:) If I am not mistaken, that beautiful opening guitar was non other than Glen Campbell (In the original studio recording).

    Thanks so much!
