For my most recent project, I've taken a step away from the familiar grounds of modding for Crysis. Instead, I've taken up C# and delved straight into programming with Microsoft's XNA Game Studio 3.0.
Disclaimer: Pretty much everything in this video is a placeholder. Characters, text, environment... everything. Except, maybe, for the UI.
So far these are the bare bones, demonstrating the simple level editor I've written, that allows for relatively easy generation of fairly complex scenery, and the dialogue system - perhaps the most vital gameplay mechanic, especially as I have no real plans for implementing combat: the emphasis is on a story-driven, yet non-linear game.
Time taken: just under two weeks so far.
As there is, as of yet, no audio in the game, the music is brought to you by:

Wow.... this is some impressive work. I've just dabbled with XNA as my first foray into game development. This blows me away. Any chance you'll release the engine/level editor you've developed? It's slick!

very nice system - I love the little details like the hour wheel when the time box is not visible. And as simple as it is, it looks very thought through and optimized to get the biggest effect with the least amount of mouse clicks. Awesome!

@thexoor I don't even remember writing that statement. I disagree with everything I wrote. I'm learning XNA at the moment and love it. Aha..

@kstdahora Probably wrote it himself. Wouldn't be too hard in comparison to some other things he's doing.

@Soap360 How does an API look crisper or cleaner then any other? This is all hard work by the author, and use of some really unique techniques. This isn't XNA magic or anything.
